3 Cocktails to get you through a Haunted House
With Halloween at the end of the month haunted houses are popping up all over the place. People line up to walk through a house with little light, creepy decorations and to have others scare them. While there are tons of other haunted houses, one of Reno’s most famous is the slaughterhouse at the Ace’s ballpark. The opening day of the slaughterhouse is October 6th and runs every Thursday-Sunday throughout October. Mt Rose Drinks has put together a list of cocktails to help you build up the courage to walk through any haunted house.
Candy Corn Cocktail
Ingredients:
1 Bag Candy Corn
2 oz Vodka
5 oz Sprite
Ice
Method:
Soak half of the bag of candy corn in the vodka overnight. Shake together the candy corn vodka, sprite and ice for 15 seconds. Pour into a glass filled with ice, garnish with more candy corn, serve and enjoy!
Witch Hunt
Ingredients:
.51 oz Scotch
.5 oz dry vermouth
.25 oz Herbal liqueur
5 oz lemonade
Ice
Method:
Shake together all of the ingredients for 15 seconds. Pour into a glass filled with ice, garnish with a chocolate witch hat, serve and enjoy!
Old Fashioned Pumpkin
Ingredients:
1 oz Bourbon
.5 oz Orange Liquor
2 TBSP Purred Pumpkin
1 oz Syrup
Ice
Method:
Shake together all of the ingredients for 15 seconds. Pour into a glass filled with ice, straining out the chunks. Garnish with a lemon wedge, serve and enjoy!
