How to Dress Up Your Home Bar

 In Uncategorized

Whether you have a small apartment or a large house, a home bar is a nice way to keep all of your important cocktail equipment in one place. While putting together your home bar you maybe lucky enough to have a space already, or it may seem impossible to make one fit. No matter your situation Mt Rose Drinks has put together lists to make it easier for you to make your home bar.

What to fill your home bar with:

  • Assortment of glasses, you never know what people are going to want and you want to be prepared.
  • All types of alcohol, we’re not talking about a $500 bottle of everything, just make sure that you have an assortment of alcohol so your guest can have what they like and so you can try new things.
  • Mixers in all flavors, that way you can make whichever cocktail you want at any given time.
  • Jigger and pour spouts, you can also use a shot glass but a jigger looks classier and pour spouts help you keep it tidy and helps avoid spills.
  • Shaker, juicer and garnish try, while they seem like simple things to go without, a shaker makes it easier to make a cocktail, fresh juice is much better than pre-squeezed and a good garnish can change a drink.

Tips for making a cocktail cart: Just because your home doesn’t come with an open counter top and your local home store doesn’t have a premade one, doesn’t mean you can make one

  • Use PVC pipe for the frame
  • Make sure it has wheels to make it easy to move
  • Small pieces of wood make great shelves
  • Old wood pallets also make great wine racks
  • After using sandpaper, you can spray paint almost anything
