MT ROSE PINA COLADA
Our Mt Rose Pina Colada is exceptionally different! We use all natural ingredients, cane sugar and no coconut oil. We use a healthy coconut water instead! This makes for a no fat, extremely clean flavor profile that will have you coming back for more. Our Pina Colada makes a great smoothie base to add fruit, protein powder or whatever fresh ingredients you have at home that will add to your enjoyment!
The Pina Colada was introduced, officially, so they say, on August 16th, 1954, at the Caribe Hilton Beachcomber Bar, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Although Ramon Mingot claims he invented it in 1963! Josh and Mindy prefer the pirates tale about "El Pirata Cofresi". Puerto Rican pirate Roberto Cofresi served a drink to his men around 1800 to boost their morale. It was supposed to contain coconut, pineapple and white rum. He never revealed the recipe to anyone and when he died in 1825 he took what may have been the first Pina Colada recipe known to us all with him!
