5 Easy Steps to Host a Cocktail Party

You don’t have to be a professional party planner to host a wonderful cocktail party. Whether you’re planning a cocktail party for 5 or 500, there are a few tips and tricks that will make your planning much more enjoyable.

 

Step 1:

Decide what kind of party you want to host. Just because you’re hosting a party doesn’t mean that it has to be a “rager.”

 

Step 2:

Pick a theme that you want. It can be something as simple come as you are or as classy as black tie. The main thing that you need to make sure of is that your guest know that they must stick to the theme, which means that you have to also.

 

Step 3:

Send out invitations. Its seems simple but sometimes people get so caught up in the social politics that they forget people or don’t invite someone because they don’t get along with someone else you want to invite. You’re the host, invite who you want.

 

Step 4:

Get decorations. You’ve already picked out the theme and now you have to decorate. Your decorations don’t have to be super elaborate, just something that shows your guest that you took the time to decorate.

 

Step 5:

Relax and have fun. You have to be a good host and talk to all of your guest but you invited them which means that you like them.
