6 Tips to Keep Hydrated While Drinking
With the temperature reaching triple digits and air conditioning still not being able to cool you off people are getting much more easily dehydrated. Easy ways to keep hydrated of course are to drink lots of water but that can be difficult when you want to have a cocktail due to too much liquid entering your body. While you should be drinking tons of water throughout the day, Mt Rose Drinks has put together some tips that can help your cocktails help you stay hydrated as well.
- Use club soda, mineral water or seltzer water. Mixing in these helps to get some more water into your system and adds some bubbles to some of your favorite cocktails.
- For every cocktail that you have, have a glass of water. This makes sure that you are getting water and still not having too much liquid at one time.
- Add water to your cocktails. While this sounds like it would just make you cocktail taste watered down, adding water to some of your premixed drinks does nothing more than what having ice in your drink does.
- Try and stay away from too much salt. While eating try to stick to foods that don’t have too much salt in them.
- Think about the liquor that your drinking. Some alcohols have more water in them then others, pick the ones with more water.
- Be wise while snacking. While potato chips might be delicious, they don’t have water the same way that some fruits do. Make sure that your snack food helps with hydrations rather than helping to dehydrate.
