8 Easy Tips for Drinking while Camping
For many weekends are spent camping, backpacking or something else along those lines. While doing these weekend activities out in the wilderness, making cocktails is a tad more difficult due to the lack of supplies. Of course there are the simple solutions like packing a super heavy cooler or only taking beer. While these are solutions, there are other ways to have your favorite cocktails on your weekend adventures. Mt Rose Drinks put together a list of helpful hits for taking cocktails:
- Premix it, or even easier, but it premixed.
- While having a specialty drink, drink it out of a simple cup. Martini glasses and other specialty glasses add unnecessary weight to your luggage.
- If it needs to be cold, premix it and put it in a waterproof bag that you can put in the nearby river to keep it cold.
- Try to agree on one or two cocktails with the people you are with, that way you don’t need to make and take too much.
- Instead of making your cocktails in individual cups, mix the alcohol and mixer of choice in the bottles they come in, that way no spillage.
- Keep it simple
- Pair your cocktails with your food ahead of time, that way you know what you’ll need to take with you.
- Don’t wait until that last minute to pack your cocktails, you may not have what you want and then won’t have time to go to the store.
