Must Play Summer Games with a Cocktail in Your Hand

One of the best parts of summer is the fact that everyone wants to be together and hangout. While you are with all of these people, it is nice to have something to do. Nothing pairs better with a nice cocktail than a nice game outside with friends or family. Mt Rose Drinks chose two classics games and two great cocktails to accompany them to share this summer.

Cornhole

A classic game that is easy to make. Two pieces of wood 2 feet by 4 feet with 1-foot feet on them and a hole with a 1-foot diameter in the upper middle are spread 10 feet from each other. Two teams of two have different colored bean bags and take turns throwing at the opposite side. Game is played until 21, scoring is 3 points if the bean bag makes it though the hole, two points if the bean bag ends on the wood and one point if the bean bag is touching the feet but is on the ground.

Beer Margarita

Ingredients:

1 Mini Beer

6 oz Margarita Mix

2 oz Tequila

Ice

Method:

In a blender mix together the margarita mix, ice and tequila. Pour mixture into a salt rimmed glass. Open the beer and quickly flip beer over into the glass. Garnish with a lime, serve and enjoy!

Latter Ball

Also a classic game that is easy to make. Using PVC pipe make a frame that is 4 feet high and 1 foot wide. At the 3 foot and 2-foot height of the frame add a t-joint and a 1 foot PVC pipe into the middle of the frame. Drill a whole into 6 golf balls of one color and 6 golf balls of another color. Push one end of a thick 1-foot-long yarn into one golf ball and the other end into another of the same color. Do this until all the golf balls are connected to a string. Two players one at each latter, 10 feet from each other take turns throwing. Game is played until 11, scoring if 3 points for the top bar, 2 points for the middle bar and 1 point for the bottom bar.
