Weathers getting warmer, drinks are getting colder
It’s that time of the year again. The time when your skin starts to get slightly darker and all your friends joke about how they should be wearing sunglasses when you take your shirt off at the beach. It’s summer, the time of the year when we show off our summer bods ready or not because it is so hot outside the thought of having on too many layers makes you over heat. The air conditioner is blasting but no matter how low you have it set you can’t get your core body temperature down. And cold showers seem to be the only solution for the times when you don’t have a pool. Now there is another solution to keep cool this summer. Your drink can cool you off and be your escape from the summer heat. A nice cold refreshing beer seems to do the trick for much of the time, but beer can get boring, repetitive and we all want to still look good in our swimsuits. Here are some ideas to help you keep cool this summer.
Fruit for ice:
If you like fruit infused water this is a must. Pick out your favorite fruit, put a piece of it in each part of an ice tray, fill the rest up with water, freeze and enjoy!
Alcohol infused popsicles:
Remember when you were little and you got to eat 3 popsicles so you didn’t overheat. Those popsicles don’t taste the same as you remember. But now you can make your own. Mix together 2 parts of your favorite mixer and one part of your favorite alcohol. Pour the mixture into a popsicle mold, add sticks, freeze over night and then enjoy! For something a little extra you can add a slice of fruit to your popsicle too.
Slushy:
Anything that doesn’t have to be hot can be made into a slushy. Mix together your favorite drink, but don’t add ice. Pull out your blender, fill it halfway with ice, add in your drink, blend and enjoy!
